The Band

Marian Fricke is a German pianist, singer, composer and arranger. He began playing the piano at the age of five, initially with classical music. When he, like all the cool boys his age, wanted to go play football, his father deliberately played Queen records, subtly motivating him to learn their music. When Marian sang the songs in front of the class and accompanied himself on the piano, he received much admiration and realized that music could also be "cool." This motivated him to pursue music further, earning his bachelor's degree at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem in 2023. Over the years, he dedicated himself to jazz, pop, funk, Latin, and blues, blending elements from all these styles into his playing.

He has performed multiple times for the Lions Club Wuppertal, as well as for the Westdeutsche Zeitung at the "Langer Tisch" in Wuppertal, Intervracht NL, and the former mayor of Wuppertal, Dr. Rolf Köster. He has also played at the Wuppertal Jazz Meeting, the Weinsommer Mettmann, Jazzschmiede Düsseldorf, Café Ada (Wuppertal), and the Live Club Barmen.

Additionally, he offers professional live music for weddings, dinners, and corporate events, both solo and in a duo with Janina & Martin from Samt & Sand.
Devoting himself to music with every fiber of his being and serving it—that is the vision of German drummer Daniel Louis.

His musical journey began early, starting with performances in school bands and eventually leading to studies at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, Netherlands. There, he immersed himself in the exploration and creation of jazz and freely improvised music, shaping his distinctive style.

He has performed with Austrian singer ELSA at events such as the Viersen Jazz Festival and is set to appear this year at venues including Jazzclub Witten, the Wiener Konzerthaus, Theaterhaus Bergneustadt, and Teatro Munganga in Amsterdam.

With nearly 20 released studio productions and numerous engagements across Europe, Daniel Louis has established himself as a versatile and innovative musician. His dynamic rhythms and creative approaches define the sound of the Lýriska Trio, where he contributes his extensive experience and vision of music. He remains as eager as ever to discover, experience, and explore the unknown and the new.
Luca Loeb is a German bassist whose musical journey has taken him from the rock and metal scene to jazz, Latin, and pop. His education at the renowned ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands has shaped his style and artistic vision, which seeks a balance between intricate composition, spontaneous improvisation, and intense musical expression.

His concert titled Offerings marked a highlight of his career, featuring original compositions and interpretations of works by artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, Avishai Cohen, and the prog-metal band Tool—a testament to his versatility and musical depth.

During his studies, he performed with the German progressive post-rock band Der neue Planet, with whom he toured Europe and contributed to the production of the album Schwerkraft für Anfänger (Tonzonen Records). This experience, along with his long-standing involvement in the heavy metal scene, has shaped his rhythmic style, which listeners describe as lyrical, intense, and virtuosic.

Today, Luca Loeb brings this diverse musical experience to the Lýriska Trio, where, as the bassist, he creates a unique blend of jazz, rock, and pop music. Through complex rhythmic patterns, harmonic interplay, and his joy for spontaneous improvisation, he adds a distinctive dynamism to the trio's compositions.
